OUR ENERGYCOR™ COATING PUT TO THE TEST AT THE MIRAGE, LAS VEGAS:
Heat and chemicals expelled from the notorious volcano at The Mirage Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada had been causing severe corrosion on existing units located in the vicinity. That's when MGM Resorts International turned to EPI for help. Desperate to find a solution outside of continuing to replace units so frequently, brand new units were coated with EPI's EnergyCor™ prior to installation to prevent corrosion.
SALT SPRAY & OCEAN AIR ARE NO MATCH FOR ENERGYCOR™:
Galveston Island is one of the most corrosive areas in the USA, due to continuous salt-spray intrusion typical uncoated condenser coils would survive only 3 to 4 years before needing replacement. AT&T turned to Energy Performance for help. The corporate building had new rooftop units to be installed on the roof that have constant salt exposure due to being near the Gulf of Mexico. The coils were coated with our corrosion proof protective treatment in 2008. Upon inspection in 2016 the coils were still pliable and in good condition. The fins remained flexible and free from oxidation, over 8 years after coil installation. The customer has successfully interrupted the 3 to 4 year replacement cycle and has deferred the capital replacement cost.
